Lorepot is a campaign hub for tabletop groups. These are the questions that come up most; Terms and Privacy hold the fine print.

What is Lorepot?

A save file for your D&D campaign: session notes that build your world's wiki as you type. Write what happened — the NPCs, quests and locations you mention become linked pages, and next session picks up exactly where you left off.

Is it free?

Yes. The core is free: unlimited campaigns, sessions and players. Paid tiers come later, for polish and power — your notes are never hostage, and export stays in the free tier.

Do my players need accounts?

Yes — signing in is an email link or a Discord login, so an account costs a player about a minute. Joining is one invite link, or a short code the DM can read out at the table. Players see what the DM has revealed; invites, the Discord webhook and campaign deletion stay with the DM.

Can I get my data out?

Always. The whole campaign exports as a zip of Markdown files — wikilinks intact, so the folder opens cleanly in Obsidian or any text editor — plus a machine-readable campaign.json. One click, free tier included, and an export contains exactly what the exporting member is allowed to see. For account-level requests (access, erasure, portability), see Privacy.

Is this official D&D?

No. Lorepot is an independent tool compatible with 5E play. It contains no Wizards of the Coast content beyond what the System Reference Document licenses under CC-BY-4.0, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast.

How do sign-ins work?

By email — you get a sign-in link and a code, use either — or with Discord. There are no passwords, deliberately: a password can be phished, reused and leaked, and a notes app shouldn't ask you to manage one. Your inbox or Discord account is the key, so keep those secure.

Does it connect to Discord?

Two ways. You can sign in with Discord, and a DM can connect a server channel via webhook in campaign Settings — then a session recap posts there with one click. Webhooks are one-way: Lorepot writes the recap you send and reads nothing from your server.

Who runs this?

A solo developer in Belgium, publishing as Yoghurtventje. Questions, bug reports and data requests all go to hello@lorepot.app — mail is read by the person who wrote the code.
