Bram is a disgraced toll-clerk with a crossbow, Ottilie an apprentice who “borrowed” her master's spellbook, Ruk a half-orc quarryman who lifts things and occasionally people, Fen a quiet archer who says she's a fur trapper (nobody believes her). Ground rules set, dice blessed, and Mera Thistledown already knows all their names. Hook landed: the Halloran caravan is three days overdue.
